ANOTHER GOSPEL
GALATIANS 1:6-7
Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Gal 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
In the Greek text the word translated snother in verse 7 is heteros which means perverted or mixed. In verse 8, the word translated another is allos which means different.
In other words, it was not the same word that was translated another in the two verses.
What the Apostle was saying here is that the Galatian church have been transferred(the meaning of the Greek word tranlated removed) from the riches of Christ as they embraced a perverted version of the gospel. When a gospel is perverted (i.e mixed with wrong doctrinal elements), it loses its potency and unable to effect the miracles of salvation in the life of a believer . Only unperverted gospel has the power to effect changes in the lives of men(Rom 1:16), Every believer should guide against receiving unbiblical seeds and hold on to the totality of the truth of God's word. If God said it, then He said it,If He didn't say it, do not assume he said it.
Every anti-gospel element has a resemblance with the true gospel but are not. e.g the true gospel says we are healed. An anti-gospel element may proclaim we are healed ONLY when we take medications. The anti-gospel element may even try to use a biblical verse to try to support its heresy, e.g Timothy was told by Paul to take medications (1 Pet 5:23). Once you mix these two doctrinal elements together it weakens the power of the gospel of healing
